In the Fall I was in New Hampshire visiting my parents for a weekend. They became full time New Hampshire residents a few years ago so that their Obama vote would mean more. This particular weekend was the Monadnock Art Open Studio Tour in our area, Peterborough, where Our Town, the play, is based.
While on the tour my father bought my a pastel by the artist Kitty Cloud. She has a beautiful studio in a small barn on her property that she happily invited us into – she too appeared to have family in town. The piece hanging on my wall is of a small row boat in a creek with long gross down the bank – I love her touch and her sense of color.
